Hot, dynamic and versatile are a few words to describe the upcoming actress Rakul Preet, who was born on 10th October 1990, in Delhi. Her father, Kulvinder Singh, is a retired colonel from the Indian Army and her mother, Rini Singh is a self-employed woman. The current ambassador for Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao program, Rakul Preet started her career at an early age, while studying at college, as a model. This helped her bag her first Kannada movie “Gilli” in 2009.
She then tried her talent at Femina Miss India Pageant in 2011 and stood fifth apart from winning five pageants including People’s Choice Miss India times, Pantaloons Femina Miss Fresh Face, Femina Miss Talented, Femina Miss Beautiful Smile and Femina Miss Beautiful Eyes. After this, there was no looking back and Rakul became a full-time actress and made her Telugu debut in Keratam the same year and Tamil debut in Thadaiyara Thaakka, the following year.
In 2014 she also made her debut in Bollywood with Yaariyan where her performance was praised by the audience and the critics too. This triggered her Bollywood career and she was recently seen in a hit movie starring opposite Ajay Devgan in a Romcom De de Pyar de. She has also featured on the cover page of magazines like Exhibit, WOW, Wedding Vows and FHM.
Rakul Preet has two upcoming films; Milap Milan Zaveri’s action drama Marjaavaan, alongside Ritesh Deshmukh, Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria releasing on November 22, 2019. And, she will be appearing in Tamil vigilante-action film Indian 2, directed by S. Shankar, a sequel to the 1996 film Indian, for which filming began in August
