IPL 2020 New Schedule: The Biggest Cricket Carnival Arrives in the UAE

The thirteenth version of IPL or the Indian Premier League is all set to take off from 19th September in the UAE. A bittersweet moment indeed for the Indian Cricket fans, as the IPL 2020 moves away from the country. On the other end, it is a chance to see the game return with our favourite players from all over the world. How do you think IPL will be without the usual noise of the exuberant fans in the stadiums? Will matches in the UAE be as exciting as we are used to seeing on the Indian grounds? Has the long break really affected the form of the players? All of this needs to be seen.

Due to the extension of lockdown in India, IPL was suspended for the time being. New IPL 2020 Schedule was announced on 2nd August 2020, and the matches are to be played between 19th September and 10th November 2020 in UAE. Most players from all eight teams have arrived in the UAE, and the training sessions have already started.

As always, Chennai Super Kings, along with Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders are expected to perform well and qualify for the play-offs. The strong contenders for the fourth team to be in the play-offs are Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, the other two, Delhi Capitals and Kings XI Punjab can prove to be dark horses and surprise everyone.

For IPL 2020, all eyes are on MSD, the recently retired former captain of India. His fans are looking forward to seeing their ‘Thala’ once more on the field with his calm composure and thunderous shots. Not only Dhoni, but people must also be waiting eagerly to see their heroes Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, AB de Villiers, etc. playing once again after a long break this pandemic has brought about.
