So, one can say that he has worked with sensible directors in the past.

Dostana's fate at the box office
Ganesha observes that the movie is releasing with very beneficial planetary positions. Sagittarius Ascendant will be ruling at the time of first show, with Venus and Jupiter – two benefics in the Ascendnat, which is a plus point. On the negative side, Bhagya Bhuvan Lord Sun is debilitated in the 11th house of gains with 7th and 10th house Lord Mercury. Rahu is in the second house of finances. Moon will be in it’s own constellation Rohini and in Venus’ sign.
In Sarvashtakvarga chart of this movie, 10th house has 29 Auspicious Bindus, 11th house of gains has 37 Auspicious Bindus. 2nd house of finances has 21 Auspicious Bindus which is equal to the Bindus in the 12th house of losses and the house of luck (9th house) contains 33 Auspicious Bindus.
Considering these factors
Ganesha feels that this movie may receive good opening business and it will surely have considerably very good first weekend business too. The title is Dostana, meaning friendship. In the release time horoscope, 11th house of friends’ Lord is in the 12th house of losses in Scorpio so this movie may be about friendship, love and sacrifice. The story may highlight some unconventional aspects related to love as Venus the significator of love (posited in the Ascendant in first show’s chart) is conjunct Sun and Rahu in the Navmansha chart.
Dostana’s music may not be super duper hit but some numbers may pick up after the release. However, as Mercury the significtor of intelligence, logic and dialogues rules the 10th house and is placed in the 11th house, Ganesha feels that this movie will have a very interesting and slightly different ‘Hatt ke’ type of story. Moreover, audience may cherish some good moments and dialogues. In short, there are lesser chances of getting bored while watching this movie as the story/script may have good hold. The Indian audience may welcome this movie with warmth and it will also do very good business in foreign lands.
In short, Dostana is not likely to be a super duper hit but it may perform well at the box office at least for first two weeks and from the third week, business may start going down, feels Ganesha.
