PM Modi to Launch Rs 125 Coin on 125th Birth Anniversary of Swami Prabhupada

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a special commemorative coin of Rs 125 on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Shri Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who founded the ISKCON mission in the country. He also played an important role in awakening the movement of devotion to Hare Krishna in foreign countries. With his inspiration, ISKCON translated Shrimad Bhagavad Gita and other Vedic literature into 89 languages, and the book became a bestseller book in many countries.

This coin, which will be launched in the memory of Prabhupada, will not be in general circulation. According to the horoscope of the time of launch at 4.30 pm on Sept 1, 2021, the maximum online booking of this coin may come from abroad.

How to Get Rs 125 Coin?

Rs 125 coin would be available on the RBI website. The RBI will also decide the price of these unique coins. Online booking of these coins can be done from India and abroad. If we look at the horoscope of the coin’s launch, then Jupiter, Lord of the 10th house, is placed in the 2nd house. Therefore, there is a possibility that ISKCON members outside India and ISKCON affiliates may show immense interest in this coin.

Apart from this, the presence of Saturn in the 1st house indicates that this process of buying coins will be extremely slow on the RBI website.

Issuance of Memory Coins

Rs 125 coins have been issued seven times in India in the past. Some time ago, on the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, the government had issued a coin of Rs 125. These coins look like ordinary coins only. Coin collectors and followers of these great men show interest in such coins. Usually, these coins are found on the Reserve Bank’s website.
