In 2015, Sumit met with an accident that would temporarily hold his dreams back. His wrestling career took a hit when a tractor ran over his leg. But as they say, when the going gets tougher, the tough get ready! The sport changed, but the strength and determination stayed there, writing an even more beautiful tale of redemption! His success has also brought the event to light, with Neeraj Chopra asking the countrymen to extend their support to our paralympic squad in Tokyo.

With two gold, four silvers, and two bronze, India sits at eight medals in Paralympics 2020 as of now.
