Mariyappan Thangavelu Soars High at Paralympics 2020
India leaps high in the medal tally once again thanks to Mariyappan Thangavelu’s Silver medal at Paralympics 2020 in Tokyo. He achieved this feat in the high jump T42 category at the event. The PM also praised his consistency and excellence in his tweet.
Forged in Fire
Mariyappan’s father left him and his family at a very young age. To add to the adversities, Mariyappan got into an accident where a bus ran over his leg. These events changed his life drastically; however, his mother was his motivator. She encouraged Mariyappan to play with other kids his age. It won’t be an exaggeration to say that it is the same encouragement that has taken Mariyappan to where he is today: on cloud nine!
Silver is Just the Beginning
Mariyappan was born in the Salem district of Tamil Nadu on June 28, 1995. Jupiter and Venus are opposite to each other in his birth chart, and that is the indication of positive results for him. Venus is in its own house and brings him name and fame. Currently, he is under the influence of Jupiter Mahadasha. Though these combinations are beneficial for him, he needs to be cautious about any sports-related injuries in the coming time.
