Aditya Chopra and Rani Mukherjee - Kya `Dil to Paagal Hai?'

Aditya Chopra, the elder son of the renowned film director/producer Yash Chopra, is in the headlines with regards to his much-rumoured affairs with Bollywood's `Babli' Rani Mukharjee. Aditya's split with his wife Payal Khanna has fed the flame of gossip. He has agreed to give a hefty amount of Rs27 crores ($7 million) to his wife. Whether this story has an ounce of truth? If yes, are Rani and Aditya compatible astrologically? Ganesha looks into the matter.

Born on May 21, 1971, Aditya's Sun sign is Taurus. In fact, he is on Taurus Gemini Cusp and therefore, he carries possessive nature of Taurus as well Gemini - Air Sign's sense of freedom.

Rani Mukherjee is a Piscean as she is born on March 21, 1978, but she is also on Cusp of Pisces and Aries.

Ganesha observes that both share the same date of birth and perhaps that is why they are on the same wavelength. However, as both are born on Cusp, they may also be tentative about several matters in life.

Rani's Venus is exalted in Pisces, whereas Aditya's Venus is in Aries. This is not very encouraging disposition for love and `related' matters. Moreover, Rani's Venus is in Stellium with Mercury, Sun and Ketu in Pisces. In Rani's Surya Kundli, her seventh house Lord is Mercury, which is debilitated but it is creating Neech Bhang Raj Yog. This is undoubtedly favourable for Rani's career as an actress, but Venus is afflicted by strong malefic planet Ketu, which may cause split in the relationship. Despite this, chances of love marriage are stronger for her as her Venus is exalted.

In Aditya's Surya Kundli, seventh house Lord is Mars, afflicted by Rahu. This is the main reason for his separation with life partner.

Though Rani and Aditya's charts are more or less matching, Ganesha does not find this to be very agreeable match because there is no favourable aspect between Venus in the composite chart. This relationship can be long-lasting and may flourish only if they remain friends, feels Ganesha. If at all they decide to marry, there may be plenty of adjustments.
