India in the Doha Asian Games: The astrological perspective

The Asian Games began in New Delhi in 1951, since then it has become the second largest sports extravaganza after the Olympic Games and is set to conquer greater heights at the Asian Games held in Doha, Qatar.

The 5th house represents sports and performances. Significant planetary movements in the 5th house are not present in the Indian Chart. But the transiting Jupiter would be moving in trine with the Lord of 5th house Mercury. The auspicious aspect of transiting Jupiter will be a huge morale booster for the Indian contingent who has often struggled to make an impact at the international level.

Mars, the stellar warrior, always plays a major role in any sports event. During the Asian Games the transiting Mars would be moving in Scorpio, which happens to be the 7th house of Indian Natal chart indicating strong enemies. China, Japan and South Korea are likely to create tough conditions for India.

The transiting Rahu would be moving in the 10th house which is the house of reputation, honor, public image, and success of the Indian Natal chart. Drugs have tainted the reputation of sports since recently. Possible duping will be closely monitored by the World Anti-Doping Agency and the International Olympic Committee. The transiting Rahu indicates some scandal or controversy for India.

The transiting Saturn would be moving retrograde from the 7th of December. As Lord of 10th house Saturn seems to have enormous importance. Indian players will be required to play well using all the skills and positive energy to overcome opponents which could be challenging. They require be focusing and strong willed. Otherwise chances are that they may lose and stray wayward, from their path.

The movement of transiting Moon could be vital in this context. We may expect favorable results on Dates 4, 5, 8, 9,10, 12 and14.

Looking at all the factors narrated above, the performance of the Indian team would be average. The players may have a possibility to come in anywhere near the pick of medal tally.
