Introduction: As predicted in our previous article, Samak Sundaravej was removed from his post by the constitutional court in September 2008. After his impeachment, the People’s Power Party member, Somchai Wongsawat was elected the Prime Minister of the country. But, the government then formed has run into trouble. An anti-government alliance led by thousands of protesters claim that the ruling People Power Party is just a puppet of ousted premier Thaksin Shinawatra, who they accuse of corruption and nepotism. In the light of this, Ganesha predicts the future of Somchai Wongsawat’s government.

Astro Analysis
In PPP’s chart, Sun-Jupiter trine and Venus-Saturn conjunction looks excellent and strong Mercury and Mars are an added advantage. The transiting Jupiter trine with Venus-Saturn and aspecting natal Mercury and Mars provided ample support to win the intense election battle.
But, the future looks extremely challenging as the transiting Rahu is approaching the natal Moon. It will be in opposition to the natal Sun as well. The period between February and May 2009 looks decisive for the party and there can be many changes within the party and also in the leadership.
In Somchai Wongsawat’s chart, the transiting Saturn is moving closely over the natal Sun and the transiting Rahu is moving in the 12th house from the natal Moon and is opposing the natal Saturn. The transiting Jupiter in Sagittarius may help him but the Solar eclipse in January 2009 looks extremely adverse for him. It will be very difficult for him to survive in the the PAD’s “final battle”. The period between March and June 2009 looks extremely stressful for him and there will be immense pressure on him to step down.
