The full moon occurs on the fifteenth day of Shukla Paksha of each month. Since the month of Vaishakha is considered very sacred, the full moon of Vaishakha month is very special and has a great religious significance. It is believed that observing fast on Vaishakh Purnima brings good fortune and health. On this day, Satya Narayan Puja is performed to get the blessings of Lord Vishnu. Additionally, devotees also worship Dharmaraja on this day. It is believed that worshipping Dharmaraja on this day helps to overcome the fear of premature death.
