During the last 230 years of its existence, USA has grown into a huge integrated industrialised economy that represents about a quarter of the world
economy. The ‘AAA’ rating is the highest possible rating and US has been enjoying this top-notch rating ever since the agencies began assigning sovereign credit rating to the country. Today, the US is in a unique situation; S&P this weekend stripped the US off this rating, downgrading it a notch lower to ‘AA+’, while terming the efforts being taken to tackle the country’s soaring debt levels as inadequate. Stung by the first-ever downgrade to its top-notch sovereign credit rating, the US has hit back at S&P, saying that the rating agency’s flawed analysis has put its own credibility and integrity at risk.
Deven Sharma, president of Standard & Poor’s, a leading provider of financial market intelligence and one of the world?s three foremost credit rating, investment research and risk evaluation agencies. When asked in an interview to Wall Street Journal about the impact of Friday?s downgrade on markets, Deven said: ?Markets are a mystery for all of us. We are moving into uncharted territory. But we had telegraphed in July when we did the credit watch negative what impact a downgrade could have on different sectors.?
US has incredible influence over the world and economic depression in the US, is a very bad news for a lot of countries. Believe it or not, Ganesha had clearly foreseen all this and had forecast vide his article ‘USA; WILL SHE REMAIN ON THE TOP OR TOPPLE?’
In December 2010. The gist of his predictions are as below:
- Ketu (South node) is transiting over natal Sun, Jupiter, Mars and Venus through Gemini, the 11th house of gains indicating negative impact on gains for a period of about one and a half years, while Rahu’s (North node) transit over the 5th house will cause unpredictable fluctuations in the stock market.
Saturn’s transit over the 2nd house, of finance and economy will cause reduction and undue delay in the influx of funds. - However, the Saturn-Jupiter opposition will bring significant changes in U.S. and its position as a super power.
- Ganesha feels that the struggle for U.S. is far from being over, and economy will continue to remain limp for about an year and a half, till October 2011.
In short, U.S. is on the verge of beginning of a whole new era and that might change the whole global political scenario in next couple of years. - Ganesha feels that the USA is going through a very rough patch till 22/04/2012, during which president Obama will have a deluge of challenges from all national fronts.
