Prominence of Karakamsa, Atmakaraka and Visha Yoga in the chart of Jesus Christ

Prominence of Karakamsa, Atmakaraka and Visha Yoga in the chart of Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is a central figure not only in Christianity but also in several other religions. His coming was symbolic of the coming of a messiah as was promised in the Old Testament. He was resurrected after crucifixion. Christians believe that Jesus was a God incarnate and would help them attain salvation. Muslims consider him as one of the most beloved prophets of Mohammed. Ganesha also has a deep respect for Jesus and thus examines the effect of various planets in Jesus’ chart which made him a God like figure.

Jupiter becomes the Atmakaraka planet in Jesus Christ’s chart and is placed in the Capricorn Navmansa. Hence, Capricorn becomes the Karakamsa in his chart. The placement of Ketu, Saturn and Jupiter in the Karakamsa indicates a sacred soul or a Tapaswi.

The malefic planets like Saturn and Ketu in Karakamsa have the power of making a person renounce the world and dedicate himself in service of the humanity and showing them the way to salvation or Moksha.

The Atmakaraka is Jupiter- the planet of Gyan that is also causing Hamsa Yoga and Gajakesari yoga showing his qualities, mental and moral and his attainments, intellectual and spiritual.

Atma means the soul and karaka means significator. Atmakaraka is the significator of the soul’s desire. According to the Vedic philosophy, a soul is reborn because it has unfinished desires that were left unfulfilled in the previous lives and it is born again to get another opportunity to satisfy them. What are these desires? Will they be fulfilled or will you struggle with them? This is revealed by the Atmakaraka planet. Jupiter as Atmakaraka always gives a person hunger for the Atmagyana or the knowledge of the self and it is found in many of the great saints. In Lord Krishna’s chart, Jupiter is Atmakaraka and placed in the Sagittarius Navmansa. Prophet Mohammad also had Jupiter as Atmakaraka. In Gautam Buddha’s chart, Atmakaraka Sun is placed in the Sagittarius Navmansa. In Adi Shakracharya’s chart, Atmakaraka Saturn placed with Jupiter in the Navmansa. So, Jupiter as Atmakaraka or Atmakaraka’s association with Jupiter leads a person to occult, philosophy and Gyan.

There is other striking similarity in great saints, which is Moon’s association with Saturn. Moon-Saturn conjunction is generally called a Poisionous Combination or Visha Yoga. All the spiritual leaders have Moon-Saturn association in one or the other way. Lord Krishna, Lord Buddha, Adi Shankaracharya had Moon-Saturn opposition whereas Guru Nanak, Swami Vivekananda had Moon-Saturn conjunction which is also present in Jesus Christ’s chart.

The Moon symbolizes our mind, and the mind is interacting with our senses to define what is happening to our body. Saturn is the planet of discipline, which initially creates within us the faculty of discrimination and division between self and the rest of the Whole but when the schism is dissolved, and oneness restored, through our own efforts and attitudinal changes, the higher character of Saturn can be tapped into. So, we can see the acute introspection in all these great saints’ lives that has changed their lives drastically.
