Prime Ministership- A Challenge for Gordon Brown

Political avenues in Britain are in buzz as James Gordon Brown is all set to become the Prime Minister. His long-cherished dream is to come true as he will be the successor of PM Tony Blair.

The Chancellor of the Exchequer of the United Kingdom, Brown has Venus in Exaltation placed in the Ascendant and the Lord of 9th house Mars is in conjunction with the Lord of 10th house, creating Raj Yog. The Mars-Jupiter conjunction is placed with the significator of authority-Sun confirming the Yog. But placement of Mars-Jupiter-Sun in 12th house on Rahu-Ketu Axis gives him struggle.

Saturn always plays a vital role in politics. It is seen that Saturn in Kendra denotes success in politics. Mr Brown is just another example, as his Saturn placed in the 7th house of public image. In his D-10 chart, the Ascendant Lord Mercury is placed with Exalted Sun indicating political power, but placement in Rahu-Ketu Axis made him struggle and wait. Brown’s Mars is placed in the 6th house of D-10 chart with Venus. Mars gives him confidence and power to overcome obstacles created by his enemies.

He is currently under the influence of Mars-Mars period. Mars is the Lord of 9th house (house of Luck) and involved in the Raj Yog. The transiting Jupiter is passing through the 9th house and aspecting his Ascendant. So he is ready to succeed to Mr Blair.

Brown’s position as Prime Minister doesn’t appear to bring glee on his face. Earning popularity may be a tough nut to crack for him; he has to put lot of hard work for this. The transiting Rahu in Aquarius might crate a chaos for him. The transiting Saturn in Leo opposing his Sun-Rahu may further aggravate the condition. It might be an ego-denting experience for Brown. His health may also be a cause of concern. While examining his horoscope, it seems that retaining his position would be a challenge for him.

We wish him good luck and may Lord Ganesha bless him!!!
