Hamari Adhuri Kahani— the film—is meant to be an ode to unfulfilled love. The film that releases on 12th June 2015 is said to be based on the real life story of the film’s producer Mahesh Bhatt’s parents and his stepmother. Directed by Mohit Suri, of Kalyug and Aashiqui 2 fame,Hamari Adhuri Kahani stars Emraan Hashmi, Vidya Balan and Rajkumar Rao in lead roles. In the very words of the film’s director, “Hamari Adhuri Kahani is a film that questions the societal definition of love and raises pertinent questions whether marriage is the only culmination of love.”
The intense and passionate love-drama shall be an important milestone for the talented Vidya Balan, as she shall be appearing on the silver screen after a considerable gap, and 3 back to back flop films. Incidentally, this shall be her only second romantic film that comes a good 10 years after her first movie Parineeta. By the looks of the teasers and film’s promos, Vidya and Emraan share a sizzling chemistry on screen and each of them has been given strong, performance oriented roles. The film’s soulful music and penetrating lyrics are already receiving rave reviews.
