A Tribute to Swami Vivekananda by Ganesha

Swami Vivekananda, whose pre-monastic name was Narendranath Dutta, was the epitome of virtue and sacrifice. His philosophies of Vedantas and Yogas are still remembered all over the world. Being the chief disciple of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, he founded Ramkrishna Math and Ramkrishna Mission. Ganesha wishes him on his Birthday and gives an astrological analysis of this great personality in this article.

Swami Vivekananda was born on 12th January 1863 in Kolkata. He was a major figure in the history of Hinduism and India.

Planetary Influence

His Ascendant is Sagittarius. Sun’s presence in the Ascendant provides him with good physical vitality. Sun in the first house represents will-power, magnetism, sense of honour and dignity in fiery sign in birth chart as well as in Navamansh chart which gives him charismatic personality and often displays leadership qualities. He liked to think big and consequently gone forward with what he had decided. He was a great spiritual personality. As the Lord of Ascendant- Jupiter is placed in the eleventh house of fulfilment, he was generous by nature and was friendly and optimistic. The Lord of tenth house of career-Mercury is situated in the second house, which is in Aries Navamans, which made him a good orator. He was interested in knowing everyone and in going everywhere.

Mars is placed in the fifth house. Thus, he generally got things done easily, and made fast and usually decent decisions. He enjoyed starting fresh-new ideas, pioneering action, and fresh projects rejoiced him. He generally enjoyed challenges. There is trine aspect between fiery planets Mars and Sun. thus, he had powerful stores of energy that he could draw upon when needed. He was the person who responded to problems or challenges with a spirited and enthusiastic confidence. His confidence was admirable.

Because of the placement of Rahu in twelfth house, he used to travel frequently around the world. The Lord of ninth house of spirituality- Sun is in sextile aspect with benefic Jupiter denoting that he was able to remain focused on his aims and ambitions, and linking. The Lord of seventh house of publicity- Mercury is placed in the second house. He earned good fame as well as name by his powerful oratorical proficiency not only in India but also in whole world. The placement of Saturn is in tenth house. A Tenth House Saturn suggests that his career or area of responsibility in the world relates in some way to the attainment of public power and status through positions of spiritual authority. Because of this placement of Mercury and Venus in second house, he had given following slogan.

Awake arise and work hard till the goal is reached

Stand up, be bold and be strong. Take the whole responsibility on your own shoulders, and know that you are the creator of your own destiny. All the strength and power
You want is within your self. Therefore make your own future.

Because seventh house is under the influence of benefic planet Jupiter, he was generally well received by others. All in all, due to sextile aspect between Sun and Jupiter he was powerfully and spirituality associated with the world, status, achievement, and practical accomplishment.

In short, holiness is another name of Vivekananda. The world feels a great vacuum without the presence of this well-known personality.

May Lord Ganesha give peace to his soul!
