• From 17-08-2026 until the opening of 20-08-2026, the pattern may remain broadly similar. The key is to observe whether the market opens above or below the Surface level. Thereafter, focus on how the pattern develops. Avoid taking any trades during the first 15 minutes after the opening. It would be better to stay completely on the sidelines during this period.
• 09:30–11:30 – During this phase, the Nifty may maintain an upward bias and attempt to extend the direction established after the opening.
• 11:30–14:50 – This extended phase of the session may remain mixed to negative. Intermittent recoveries could be seen, but downside pressure may continue to persist.
• 14:50–15:30 – Ahead of the close, the Nifty may once again show some upward movement and attempt a recovery.
