This sacred festival is dedicated to Lord Vishwakarma, the divine architect of the universe, who created Dwarka, Indraprastha, Lanka and even the celestial weapons of the Gods. On this day, people worship their tools, machines, and instruments, seeking divine blessings for safety, prosperity and success.
