Maha Ashtami 2025 Puja Vidhi

Ganesha says that Durga Ashtami, also known as Maha Ashtami, is one of the most sacred days of Navratri. In 2025, it will be celebrated on 30th September, and devotees across India will worship Maa Durga with devotion, courage, and reverence. The day is considered highly auspicious for performing special pujas, chanting mantras, and conducting Kanya Puja.

Step-by-Step Durga Ashtami Puja Vidhi

  1. Snan and Sankalp – Begin the day with a holy bath, wear clean clothes, and take a vow (sankalp) to worship the Goddess with purity.
  2. Prepare the Altar – Place the idol or picture of Maa Durga on a red or yellow cloth. Decorate with flowers and rangoli.
  3. Kalash Sthapana and Invocation – Establish a kalash with coconut and mango leaves, and invite Maa Durga to bless your home or workplace.
