16 Oct is World Food Day – Will India Face Any Food Supply Shortage in 2024? Ganesha foretells

Every year on 16th October, World Food Day is celebrated. This is to honour the date of setting up the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations in the year 1945. This day is observed world-wide by several other organisations that are attached with food security, which includes the World Food Programme and the International Fund for Agricultural Development. The theme this year (2024) for World Food Day is: ‘Safe food today for a healthy tomorrow’. This theme is specifically selected With a focus on the production and consumption of safe food that will benefit the people, economy, and the planet in the long run.

The idea of the theme is to divert the attention of the world –

  • To the importance of family farming in order to remove hunger and poverty,
  • For facilitating food security and nutrition,
  • To better livelihoods,
  • To manage natural resources through preserving the environment,
  • And gain sustainable growth, especially in the rural belts.

Furthermore, the UN General Assembly has determined the year 2014 as the International Year of Family Farming. Indeed, this is a very strong indicator that the International community recognises about the crucial contribution of family farmers to world food security.

Ganesha with the help of Vedic Astrology, takes into consideration Independent India’s Chart to predict about the food supply and food situation in 2024.

Astrological Observations and Analysis:

  • India is passing through Maha Dasha Chidra (Mid phase of two Maha Dashas). Currently India is under the influence of Sun and Venus Maha Dasha. Natal Sun rules the 4th House of agriculture and agriculture based commodities. Thus, the entire period till the end of September 2024 may remain uncertain and quite challenging for agriculture and agriculture based commodities. Nonetheless, Ganesha does not foresees huge deficit in food supply.
  • As per Vedic Astrology, Moon is the prime significator of nourishment and the Natal Moon is Swagruhi (in its own Sign) and is positioned in Pushya constellation. Thus, Ganesha feels that the influence of Moon Maha Dasha may remain better or progressive for agriculture based food products in India. During this Moon Maha Dasha, Indian government can also avert fears of food shortage and malnutrition.
