Akshay Tritiya, also known as Akha Teej, this glorious day is considered favourable for new beginnings and activities in India. It is said that buying new furniture, vehicles, or things and starting a new venture on this day increases prosperity in life. Sita Navami is celebrated as the birthday of Sitadevi, the embodiment of Goddess Lakshmi and wife of Lord Rama. May also brings Buddha Purnima, the birth anniversary of Gautam Buddha.
