Festivals in August come in abundance, and there are many of them to celebrate with your family. Here are some Indian festivals that bless us in the eighth month of the year. Naga Panchami is a traditional worship of snakes or serpents observed by Hindus throughout India, Nepal and other countries where Hindu adherents live. The Raksha Bandhan or Rakhi festival holds a lot of importance in India and among Hindus across the world. The festival celebrates the eternal love between brother and sister. Fasting has substantial significance in India, and one such fasting festival is Kajari Teej. This festival is celebrated 15 days post-Hariyali Teej or Choti Teej. One of the most important festivals in Hinduism, Krishna Janmashtami or Janmashtami, celebrates the birth of the famous Hindu God Lord Krishna.
