When it’s April, Good Friday will be there. However, this month brings many of the Hindu Festivals as well. Let’s have a look at April’s Festival Calendar. Chaitra Navratri is a seasonal fest wherein Ghatasthapana Muhurta is given the utmost importance. It is mainly celebrated in the Northern parts of India. Cheti Chand is a festival that is well-known in the Sindhi community. It is the birthday celebration of Varun Dev (Water God) Sai Uderolal, famously known as Jhulelal. Gudi Padwa, the Marathi new year and Puthandu, the Tamil new year, will also be there in April. Moreover, Ram Navami, the day when Lord Rama was born as an avatar of Lord Vishnu. The Navami Tithi falls at Shukla Paksha in the month of Chaitra. Mahavir Jain, the 24th and final Tirthankar who established Jainism in India. Mahavir Jayanti celebrates his glorious birth anniversary, which holds the utmost importance among Jains. It is also well-known as ‘Mahavir Janma Kalyanak’. A day after ‘Mahavir Jayanti’, Hanuman Jayanti will be celebrated!
