But before applying either of these, see the skin for any allergic reactions.
  4. Marshmallow is also known as Althaea officinalis is used as a topical ointment to help wounds heal and combat inflammation.
  5. Tea Tree Oil is also called Melaleuca alternifolia. This medicinal herb is used as oil or cream. To reduce and fight the inflammation it is advisable to apply 2 times a day. NOTE: DO NOT use tea tree oil to treat burns (it’ll just burn more).
  6. Gotu Kola is also known as Centella Asiatica is used as a cream containing 1% of the herb, to help heal wounds.
  7. Chamomile or Chamaemelum Nobile or Matricaria recutita can be used as an ointment or cream, to heal wounds faster.
  8. Echinacea or Coneflower is usually used as a gel or ointment containing 15% of the juice of the herb.
  9. Slippery Elm Bark also known as Ulmus Rubra or Fulva) is used as an ointment or poultice. Mix 1 teaspoon of dried powder of Fulva in a cup of boiling water. Cool it and apply it to a warm, clean cloth, and place the cloth on the affected region.
