Two times World Cup winners West Indies may remain unpredictable in their CWC 2015 run, says Ganesha.
West IndiesWinners of the first two World Cup Championships in 1975 and 1979, the West Indies are an eclectic set, and this time in ICC CWC 2015, they look set to make some smashing scores. Post 1979, West Indies, however, failed to nail the Cup. It even failed to make it to the Finals, after 1983, when it had been beaten by India. Overall too, the West Indian team hasn’t been very successful in their World Championship run, specifically in the last three World Cups, where they did not make to the Semi-finals, even losing out at the Group stage itself in 2003. Will the 2015 Caribbean Squad’s charisma and enthusiasm help it break this jinx? Led by Jason Holder, along with a pretty line-up of all-rounders – Darren Sammy, Marlon Samuels, Dwayne Smith, Jonathan Carter, Andre Russell and world-class batsmen like Chris Gayle, Darren Bravo and Lendl Simmons, the team surely looks quite strong. But, the team’s recent defeat in the ODI series against South Africa by 1-4 tells a different story. Moreover, withdrawal of their mystery spinner, Sunil Narine is going to be a big blow for them. What lies ahead for them – in such a scenario? Ganesha looks at the planetary line up to predict –
The Cricket World Cup 2015 tournament will begin with the Moon transiting through the Zodiac Sign Scorpio and in Jyestha Nakshatra – and this is going to be favourable for West Indies. But, the transiting Sun in Aquarius Sign will not support West Indian World Cup chase. However, in the latter phase of the tournament, the transiting Sun in Pisces shall boost this team’s chances. Plus, currently operating, transiting Rahu in Virgo will be working in its favour, throughout the tournament. But, Jupiter’s ongoing retrograde movement in the Zodiac Sign Cancer, and Saturn turning retrograde in Scorpio from 15th March 2015 onwards will be unfavourable for the team West Indies. Overall, it’s a mixed plate!
Stars Speak for CWC
Basis the aforementioned planetary configurations, Ganesha notes that Team West Indies’ performance in the Group matches will remain largely inconsistent. Still, it is quite likely that the team will be able to reach the Quarter-finals stage.
The period during which the Quarter-finals shall be played will be favourable for West Indies, suggest the planetary alignments. So, if the West Indian team manages to qualify with the number 2 or number 3 spot in Group A, then its further performances will stun its opponents.
In that case, West Indies will be able to reach the Semi-finals, says Ganesha.
However, as per the planetary picture, the Final match day will remain adverse for West Indies, owing to which it is unlikely that they will lift the Cup, unless there occurs a miracle.
Ganesha’s Verdict (for CWC)
West Indies team will be highly unpredictable in its performance, during this tournament. The planetary support is 50-50 for them, and hence anything can happen. It also seems that the Caribbean Team will be a ‘Dark Horse’, specifically if it, somehow, manages early on in the tournament, and crosses the Group match barrier. In that case, the team West Indies is likely to reach the Semi-finals stage.
