Will the surprise entrant to India's Cricket World Cup squad, Piyush Chawla, rise to the occasion?

The young blood in the Indian cricket team is throbbing to make an impact in the Cricket World Cup. And, one of the members of this young brigade is Piyush Chawla, a leg-spinner from Uttar Pradesh. The 22 year old bowler's entry into this international tournament squad came as a surprise to many, who believed that a third slow bowler was an unaffordable luxury for the team. But, less than a month later, justifying his selection, the leggie picked up four wickets in a practice match against Australia, leaving the opponents helpless. What makes the leg-spinner stand out from the crowd is the variation he brings in his deliveries. And that is not all. He can bat reasonably well down the order. With all the qualities of an all-rounder, he is one bowler who is expected to help India get an edge over the opposition.

Chawla' selection has raised the eyebrows of many, but he is all set to prove his critics wrong. Will he be able live up to the expectations of his captain? Will he manage to justify his inclusion in the team for the prestigious tournament? Ganesha, with the help of Vedic astrology, finds out.

The young leg-spinner and useful lower-order batsman, Piyush Chawla will have good support of transiting Mercury, Sun and Venus during this World Cup. He can be a very important part of the Indian bowling department during the World Cup, Indian Sub-Continent, 2011. However, the transiting Mars and Rahu may cause some problems, and as a result, his performance may lack consistency. He is likely to pick up one or two important wickets against England. His performance will be average against Bangladesh. However, he will deliver an important spell against Ireland. He will be economical against South Africa as well. But his performance against West Indies will be very ordinary. However, his performance during the quarter-final and semi-final will help India. He will be expensive, but will play an important role during these important matches. If India will reach the final, he will play a very important role and may provide support to the experienced Indian bowlers.

We wish him good luck and may Lord Ganesha bless him.
