They are consistent, confident and crafty. They have ruled the game of cricket for years. They may have lost their crown to India when it comes to Test cricket, but their team is still the unbeaten King of the shorter version of the game. Team Australia- the four time winners of the prestigious World Cup will defend the Cup for the fourth time in a row in 2011. Highly motivated and competent, the Kangaroos play to win, just to win! Their talents coupled with each of the players' hunger to win by all means make them a lethal combination that can knock down any other team. There have been some hiccups in the recent times for the Aussies, however, their self-belief and desire to prove their point to the world one more time seems to remain intact.

So, the question is, will the young and the restless win the Cup, again? Or will they underestimate the rivals and lose the battle? The mighty Australians have proved their supremacy on the ground time and again, agreed, but other teams have also raised their standards and become a serious threat to the defending champions! Ganesha, through Vedic astrology, finds out what the forthcoming world cup has in store for the Baggy Greens.

Team Australia will have retrograde Saturn and Jupiter in their favour during this World Cup. The transiting Mars and Sun will also have a significant positive impact on the team, particularly during the first round of the Tournament. Although they will have a smooth sailing initially, Ganesha feels that their match against Sri Lanka will be very exciting, and may have a nail biting finish. They must be careful against the Kenyans. However, they may reach the quarter final round with great ease. Ganesha notes that the period between 22nd March and 25th March will be challenging for them, more so if they meet England in the quarter finals. The result of that match may not please the champions. The effect of transiting Mars on the first semi-final will be favourable for the Aussies. But, the period after 29th March is not in their favour. So, if they play second semi-final, it would be very difficult for them to reach the finals. The day of the final match too is not favourable for the champions. They are in for a positive result only if they play against England, otherwise it would be very difficult for them to defend their crown.
