Will the Georgia Russia conflict snowball into a major International political crisis in 2009?
Introduction: Russia recently created a scare among the powerful nations of the Western Europe and the US when it invaded the bordering state of Georgia which had separated from the Soviet Union. Though now it has announced a cease fire with Georgia there are hardly any signs of improvement of relations between the two neighbouring nations.
Will the Georgia Russia conflict snowball into a major International political crisis in 2009? Ganesha tries to answer this question astrologically. Russia Country Chart:  Georgia's country chart  In August 2008, Solar eclipse occurred in Cancer in Pusya and Aslesha Nakshatar not only crossed Russia but also connected itself with a very pertinent Georgia Ascendant. The Ascendant conjunct Eclipse ignited the whole issue. The next solar eclipse of January 26, 2009 will take place in sign Capricorn which will conjunct Georgia's natal Moon in the 7th house and descendant as well. Georgia is passing through the Mars-Venus period which will end on February 04, 2009 and Sun's Antardasha will begin. Sun is debilitated and placed in the 4th house(house of internal harmony) with Mars and square to Saturn in the 7th house, which may place the ruler of Georgia in jeopardy. So, the internal wars within the homeland (4th house) are taking a bad shape and relationship with Russia is in severe trouble. There can be a civil war like situation in Georgia and the head of the state may get deposed between February to June 2009. Russia is currently under the influence of Rahu-Jupiter period. Rahu is in the fifth house with Moon and retrograde Saturn and in Taurus Navmansa. Rahu Dasha will no doubt be creative and economically very beneficial. But, Rahu transiting over natal Moon and Saturn is considered unfavourable. Natal Jupiter is placed in the 6th house from Dashanath Rahu which indicates that in the case of Russia Georgia conflict, would result in major repercussions.Russia may take aggressive steps and reassert influence over the nations that border it. Russia's horoscope indicates a steady and confrontational build-up of military power and the return to Cold War era is more than just rhetoric.
