Will promising stars help Hashim Amla deliver power-packed performances in World Cup 2011?

A few knew, and even fewer acknowledged the presence of a powerful striker of Indian descent in the South African first-class cricketing order until he himself announced his arrival with four thunderous centuries in his first eight innings of the 2004-05 domestic season in South Africa. This is Hashim Amla for you- young, elegant, poised and raring-to-go. With an eclectic background of Gujarati grandparents and a truly South African childhood, right-handed batsman Hashim made his international test debut in 2004. Ironically, the team that he debuted against was his real motherland – India. Despite captaining the Under-19 team for South Africa in 2002 Under-19 World Cup, and team Dolphins at the age of 21, recognition and success didn’t come easily to him. But then who can stop the real talent from surfacing sooner or later! In 2010, this cool-headed champ won Cricket South Africa’s (CSA) premier award, the South African Cricketer of the Year at the ’2010 SA Cricket Awards Gala’. With a top score of 149 in international test cricket, a track record of hitting boundaries in tests and twenty20 alike and a proven ability of excellent stroke-playing, Hashim Amla has certainly raised the bar. And, the hopes are sky high this time!

Will he prove his critics wrong, will he come out with some real knockers in the approaching ICC World Cup-2011 and will he finally show the world his mettle? Ganesha employs Vedic Astrology to find this and more about Hashim Amla’s performance in Cricket World Cup 2011.

Ganesha foresees Amla making the most of his talents in this World Cup. He will be blessed by transiting Jupiter, Rahu and retrograde Saturn during this time. The beginning days of the touted tournament may not see him performing to the hilt, but the fans and South African crowds around the world may soon be cheering for him. His performance will escalate from average to excellent during the cricketing event. Against Team West Indies, Amla may not be able to give his best, but against England his play will simply be magnificent. Chances are that he will add some very useful runs in the match against Netherlands. His performance may slack a bit while playing against Team India and Ireland, but he will more than make up for it by adding a huge innings for his team in the match against Bangladesh. In Quarter Finals, the South African team shall feel blessed to have Amla on their side, and same shall be the case, if the South African side reaches the World Cup Semi-Finals. The Semi-Final match shall see Amla at his striking best. With luck and world-class ability, if the South African team gets to the World Cup Finals, Hashim Amla will prove to be a treat. He will play a key role in this innings, and will boost the winning chances for his team.

We wish him good luck! May Lord Ganesha bless him.
