Introduction: Born in Baltimore, Maryland, this long arm American swimmer won 8 gold medals at the recently concluded Beijing Olympics. Hailed as 'the greatest Olympian' of all time, Michael Phelps, is still on the go of surpassing his own record and plans to continue competing until the 2012 Olympics in London.
