Laaga Chunari Mein Daag - a hit or a washout?

After the scintillating success of Chak De India, Yash Raj Films is ready to set the silver screen on fire with Laaga Chunari Mein Daag on October 12, 2007. Produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Pradeep Sarkar, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag narrates the story of two sisters who met with the harsh realities of urban life compared to the rural rest. The sisters had to make some compromises to scrape through the urban environment.

Pradeep Sarkar has always worked on challenging subjects like Sharad Babu's novel Parineeta. And this time he has dealt with more challenging subject in Laaga Chunri Mein Daag.

Ganesha would like to say something on the flick by using numerology.

Numerological total of movie's name is 7 ruled by Neptune and date of release is ruled by Jupiter and Rahu or Uranus.

Since Rahu is involved in the date of release, the film is likely to bring in some controversy before or after its release. Venus will be in Leo and Moon will be in Libra on the day of release, hence, in this high budget movie, we will be able to see good performance of almost all actors and actresses. Female cast may take the cake as Venus and Neptune are involved.

Considering Venus-Saturn and Ketu's conjunction in Leo, Ganesha feels that film may be about love and sacrifice. This film may also be about ironies of life and may also have some "male and female ego conflicts" as Venus is posited in Leo.

Moon in Libra makes Ganesha feel that this movie may have high intensity love sequences. Rahu's opposition with Venus indicates that it may be a very bold subject.

Rani, Abhishek and Konkana's performance will be very good, but because Moon is in the sign ruled by Venus on the day of release, Ganesha feels that performance of female characters will be more than challenging and impressive too.

Direction will be good and movie will have good production value but Ganesha feels that art direction and music would be much better areas that everyone would enjoy.

Given the release time horoscope and numerology, Ganesha feels that this film may get very good audience initially but it may not appeal all age groups. As this has an ounce of negative shade on movie, it may do good business at box office. But may not be a super duper hit movie. Positive side is that film may be nominated for some awards and it may win also.

Ganesha feels that this movie may be sold like hot cakes on the box office provided the date of release is not changed.
