Irfan Pathan - A year ahead
Introduction: Irfan Pathan, the
"Baroda Boy", made his Test debut in the Second Test Match against
Australia in December 2003 at the age of 19. Pathan subsequently led
the Indian pace attack and contributed with his bating as well. But,
now his career is hampered due to loss of form and lack of consistency.
Pathan was dropped from the team for the Test series against Sri Lanka.  He has Saturn Atmakaraka and Karakamsa becomes Taurus. Saturn is exalted and if we apply Karakamsa to the Lagna Chart then Rahu is placed in the Lagna and the 10th house Lord Saturn, the god of achievement and fame, is exalted . This is a fitting picture of someone who has been successful in his field at a young age. Atmakaraka Mars and PK Jupiter conjunction in fiery sign Sagittarius is a Jaimini Rajayoga which makes him aggressive, determined and gives him name and fame. But, Sun-Saturn conjunction in Libra and Moon-Ketu conjunction in Scorpio make his life difficult and bring uncertainty to his career. Currently, he has progressed Sun conjunct natal Ketu and progressed Mars square natal Sun. This configuration looks adverse for the Indian all rounder. Transit Rahu square natal Saturn and Mercury till mid September 2008 are denying him any opportunity to regain his original form. He may come back in October or November this year but may not be able to deliver any significant results. Transit Mars in January 2009 and February 2009 may boost his morale and he may contribute with his all round performance. But again, the transit Sun and Rahu may cause problems between April 21 and May 15 and as a result of this heavy transit he might stray wayward from his career path. He will try hard to regain his confidence and form in July 2009 and August 2009 and may also provide support to the Indian Team.
