Graeme Swann, though expensive, will take crucial wickets in this World Cup, feels Ganesha
Often criticized for his conduct, which some interpret as arrogance, off-spinner Graeme Swann has persevered through thick and thin to rise to the top rungs of the world rankings. He played one ODI against South Africa in 2000 before being dropped. Recalled in 2007 as the team's second spinner after Monty Panesar, he slowly cemented his place in the team. He played throughout the 2009 Ashes series, which England won 2-1. In December 2009, he became the first English spinner to take 50 wickets in a calendar year, and achieved the third place in the world rankings for bowlers. In March 2010, Swann became the first English off-spinner since Jim Laker to take 10 wickets in a match, when he achieved the feat in England's victory in the first Test in Bangladesh. He ended 2010 on a positive note as he was declared the second-highest ranked bowler in world cricket, and the highest ranked spinner.

Graeme Swann will be relishing the prospect of bowling on the subcontinent pitches. Ganesha, with the help of  Vedic astrology, predicts his performance during the upcoming World Cup.

The right-arm off-break bowler of England will be a very important part of the English bowling department during this World Cup. Ganesha feels that the transiting Venus, Mercury and Sun will help him during this tournament. However, the transiting Mars and Rahu may cause some fitness issues. He is likely to pick up one or two wickets against Netherlands. His performance will be average against India. He may pick up some wickets but he will be expensive, feels Ganesha. He will deliver a useful spell against Ireland. He will be economical against South Africa as well. But his performance against Bangladesh and West Indies will be very average. However, his performance during the quarter- and semi-finals will help England. He will be expensive but very useful during those important matches. If England are able to reach the final, he will play a very important role and may take wickets at crucial stages of the match.

We wish him good luck and may Lord Ganesha bless him.
