Genial stars will help Ashish Bagai bring out the best in him this World cup
Appointed captain in 2009, Ashish Bagai turned his back on a successful banking career in London and accepted a full-time professional contract with the Canadian cricket board. Now, the wicket-keeper-batsman leads a young 15-member Canadian cricket team for the upcoming World Cup. The only two other members of the team with prior World Cup experience are Henry Osinde and Australia-based John Davison. So Bagai has his task cut out, but having himself come in through the junior ranks (he played for the country's under-19 team when only 15), Bagai is the best person to guide his young, inexperienced team. He hit a purple patch in the World Cricket League in Nairobi in 2007 when he scored an unbeaten 137 against Scotland and added a second ton against Ireland four days later, and was named Player of the Tournament.

With the help of Vedic Astrology, Ganesha takes a look at his prospects in the forthcoming World Cup.

Ganesha notes that Ashish Bagai was born on 26th January, 1982. As his date of birth totals down to 8, it gives him a lot of determination and patience required in any sports. With Mars and Saturn conjunction in Virgo, he will display a perfect balance between aggression and patience. Ganesha notes that he was born with Stellium of Sun, Moon, retrograde Mercury and retrograde Venus in Capricorn. This Stellium in Capricorn also gives him a strong desire to excel in the field that he likes. During World Cup, transiting Jupiter will have a direct aspect on his Natal Mars. This will provide him with luck and strength to perform well during the World Cup, notes Ganesha. Even while Mars transits through Aquarius, it will be aspecting Ashish's Natal Mars. This is also going to boost his energy levels for sure. As his biorhythm would also be on the positive side during the World Cup matches, Ganesha feels that we can expect good batting and wicket-keeping from Ashish.

We wish him good luck and may Lord Ganesha bless him.

Ganesha's Grace,
