Ganesha foresees quite a few exciting head to head battles in the upcoming World Cup.
While the forthcoming cricket World Cup to be held in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh may not feature a head-to-head contest a la the legendary Sachin Tendulkar vs Shane Warne battles, it will have quite a few good ones to titillate the senses of the cricket buff. In one of them will be pitted India's Viru Dada against South Africa's red hot pacer Dale Steyn. Another will have Sri Lanka's Smiling Assassin Muttiah Muralitharan up against Pakistan's Boom Boom Shahid Afridi. Yet another mighty clash is expected between India's Turbanator Harbhajan Singh and England's hard-hitting six-footer KP, or Kevin Pietersen. The Baroda plunderer Yusuf Pathan, India's latest big-hitter on the block, will have his wares tested by England's wily offie Graeme Swann. Yet another contest worth watching will be seen between Sri Lanka's Pocket Rocket Lasith Malinga and  Australia's brutal opener Shane Watson. And there's much more. So watch out for them!

Ganesha, with the help of Vedic astrology, finds out who will have the upper hand in some of the key head-to-head contests in the upcoming cricket World Cup.

Viru Vs Dale Steyn
The transiting Sun and Jupiter will be in favour of both the hard-hitting Indian opener Virender Sehwag and the Protea-pacer Dale Steyn but the transiting Mars will be more in favour of Steyn. So Ganesha feels that Sehwag may bat with aggression and provide resistance to an extent, but Steyn may have the upper-hand in this much anticipated contest.

Graeme Smith Vs Zak
The Sun, Mars and Jupiter are favourable for both the players. The transiting Rahu is slightly more favourable for Zaheer Khan. So he can be dangerous for the Protea skipper Graeme Smith. However, Smith is unlikely to give away his wicket easily. So the contest is evenly poised.

Sachin Tendulkar Vs Dale Steyn

Sachin will have good support of transiting Jupiter, Mars and Sun, whereas Dale Steyn will have the support of transiting Mars. Ganesha feels that the South African super-fast bowler Steyn will bowl aggressively but the Indian master-blaster will reply tooth and nail. Sachin may have the upper-hand in this contest.

Yusuf Pathan Vs Graeme Swann

The Baroda plunderer Yusuf Pathan will have favourable transit of Mars, Sun and Moon, whereas the attacking England off-spinner Graeme Swann will have the support of transiting Mars and Mercury. So Swann will bowl intelligently against Pathan but it would be very difficult for him to contain Pathan, who will have the upper-hand in this contest.

Hashim Amla Vs Bhajji

The bearded South African batting rock Hasim Amla will be blessed by transiting Jupiter, Rahu and retrograde Saturn. But India's Turbanator Harbhajan Singh will have transiting Mars and Mercury in his favour. So the contest will be very interesting. However, Harbhajan will create problems for Amla, and may have the upper-hand in this contest.

KP Vs Bhajji

The transiting Mars will favour the 6-foot-4 England hard-hitter Kevin Pietersen. However, the transiting Sun and Jupiter will be in favour of Harbhajan Singh. Bhajji will bowl very intelligently against Pietersen. In reply, Pietersen may try to break free and may even hit a few lofty shots. He may not be able to control his urge to hit the ball, and this may cost him his wicket.

Graeme Swann Vs Yuvi

India's power-hitter Yuvraj Singh will have good support from transiting Sun and Mars and England off-spinner Graeme Swann will have favourable transit of Mercury and Venus. So the contest will be very interesting. However, it will be very difficult for Swann to control Yuvi's aggression. Yuvraj will have the upper-hand in this contest.

Jonathan Trott Vs Bhajji

One might call Trott the Rahul Dravid of England cricket for his ability to quietly amass runs and stay put at the wicket. Jonathan Trott will have favourable transit of Mercury, Venus and Jupiter. Harbhajan will have transiting Sun and Jupiter in his favour. Bhajji will bowl a good line and length against Trott. In reply, Trott will play with caution and resist doggedly. So the contest will be evenly poised.

Shane Watson Vs Lasith Malinga

It will be a great contest. Both the players will have favourable transit of Mars, Sun and Jupiter. Sri Lanka's Pocket Rocket Lasith Malinga will bowl with tremendous aggression and Australia's brutal opener Shane Watson will reply positively. However, Malinga will be slightly wayward and that may provide Watson a chance to cut loose. So Watson will have a slight advantage in this contest.

Tillakaratne Dilshan Vs Shoaib Akhtar

The Sri Lankan turbo-charged opener who invented the scoop, Tillakaratne Dilshan will have transiting Sun, Mars and Jupiter in his favour, whereas Pakistan's Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar will have only transiting Mars in his favour. So Shoaib may bowl with good speed but may not be able to hit the target. Dilshan will try to take maximum advantage of Shoaib's mistakes and he will have the upper-hand in this contest.

Shahid Afridi Vs Muttiah Muralitharan

Sri Lanka's Smiling Assasin Muttiah Muralitharan will have transiting Mercury and Sun in his favour. But the transiting Rahu may not help him, while Pakistan's Boom Boom Shahid Afridi will have good support from transiting Mars and Jupiter. Murli will bowl intelligently with good line and length. But Afridi will be very effective with his unorthodox hitting. However, a sudden rush of blood may cause his downfall. Afridi may have a slight advantage in this contest.

We wish all of them good luck. May Lord Ganesha bless them.
