No matter who forms the government in June this year, Lok Sabha Elections-2009 will be most remembered for the rise of a demagogue from the folds of India's first political family that has won elections in post Independence India by waving the secularist card.

So, when BJP's candidate for Lok Sabha and first-time contestant Varun Gandhi-son of Sanjay and Maneka Gandhi and grandson of the late Indira Gandhi-allegedly stoked communal fire by denigrating Muslims in a speech he gave at an election meet in Philibit, the media went abuzz and political pundits wondered at its far-reaching repercussions.

While some say Varun's rabble-rousing speech has made an indelible slur on the image of the Nehru-Gandhi family, others watched the drama that unfolded after Uttar Pradesh's Mayawati government slapped the National Security Act on Varun and threw him in jail. Since the 29-year-old's speech, the saffron brigade has been rallying behind Varun, hailing him as Hindutva's rising star.

But one question on everyone's mind is: Why did a courteous, poem-penning, educated young man threaten to tear the secular fabric of a country that his great grandfather and grandmother have so diligently woven into a united whole? Did he get carried away by his debut political address? Ganesha says it's the diabolical Rahu-Ketu effect that fanned the embers in Varun's brain. Find out how:

Numerological Analysis

Varun's birth date number: 13 = 1+3 = 4 = Rahu
Destiny number: 13/4+ 3 + 1980 (1+9+8+0 = 18=9) = 4+3+9 = 16/7 = Ketu
The first alphabet in Varun's name: V = 22nd alphabet = 2+2 = 4 = Rahu
First alphabet in his surname: G = 7 = Ketu

The above numerological calculation proves that Varun has a close Rahu-Ketu connection. Now, the effect of Rahu on the BJP candidate has given him an unconventional nature.

Again, number 16, which is Varun's destiny number, adds up to 7, which stands for Ketu.  This makes him prone to misfortune. Varun lost his father three months after he was born and is now languishing in jail for his hate speech. Actually Rahu = 4, which represents a square shape, which in turn denotes a prison.
