Daniel's spectacular spells to impress one and all, foretells Ganesha
A gentle, slow left-arm orthodox Kiwi spinner, and a handy batsman lower down the order, is one of the most affable cricketers on the scene today. Since making his debut in 1997, at 18, the silent assassin has unobtrusively gone about his job of  annihilating oppositions, so that now he is one of only eight players to have managed the double of 300 Test wickets and 3000 runs. More pertinently, in the context of the upcoming World Cup, he has taken 279 ODI wickets, and will be rubbing his hands in glee at the prospect of bowling on the spinner-friendly tracks of the subcontinent. His mastery of drift and subtle variations in flight, speed and length have earned him a reputation as one of the most dangerous of New Zealand's players. It was that crafty ability to baffle the batsmen that sometimes turned what seemed like harmless deliveries into unplayable hand grenades by the time they reached the other end.

Now, with the help of Vedic Astrology, Ganesha predicts whether he will be able to deliver those deadly ones in the forthcoming World Cup.

The New Zealand captain and experienced spinner Daniel Vettori will have favourable transit of Jupiter, Mercury and Venus during this World Cup. He will begin his World Cup campaign with an impressive bowling performance against Kenya. He will bowl useful spells against Australia, but may not be able to pick up key wickets. His performance against Zimbabwe and Pakistan will be good and he is expected to take two or three vital wickets during those matches. His performance may not match his potential against Sri Lanka, though. But in quarter-finals, he will find his rhythm back and his bowling performance will lift his team's morale. If New Zealand reach the semi-finals and final, he will be the bowler to take wickets at crucial moments of the match.

We wish him good luck and may Lord Ganesha bless him.
